Kriterium was founded in Rochester, NY in May of 1998 by Todd Cameron who presently serves as President and CEO. The company quickly committed itself to being more proactive, more communicative, and to provide more documentation than the typical business customer had been experiencing with their IT provider.
The business developed Kommunicate, a tool that continues to evolve to accommodate the suggestions of our customers. This tool provides a web based console through which customers can directly collaborate with our Team, including their assigned Engineer, and experience a level of involvement and customer satisfaction far above the standards of our industry. This tool is used from the beginning of the sales process through, ordering, receiving, configuration, delivery/installation and if needed, troubleshooting. With time, our team is able to establish its own knowledgebase for each customer which shortens troubleshooting time and maximizes the customers IT budget.
Kommunicate is only one of many tools that shape our proactive approach to IT services. Today, Kriterium provides network design, installation, administration, hardware and software sales, premise wiring, VOIP telephony, and Managed Security Services all over the country.
In 2000, Kriterium became an early adopter of Managed Security Services. Our offerings include managed firewalls, routers, anti-virus, anti-spam, intrusion prevention, vulnerability scanning, VPN and Kolocation. These services are monitored 7x24 from our Security Operations Center (SOC) in Rochester.
Our reputation and expertise in the network security arena has resulted in consulting engagements to complete HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley, and GLBA compliance as well involvement in post-event network forensics.
The early entry into Managed Security Services allows us to provide best in class service from enterprise customers to small business customers while lowering the customers total cost of ownership to a fraction of trying to secure their networks themselves.
